IPTV Prices UK 2026: Tiers and Monthly Cost

British IPTV Team 5 min

Most UK IPTV subscriptions cost somewhere between about £10 and £15 for a one-month plan, with longer plans costing more in total and less per month. A price far below that range, or a single payment for a service said to last for ever, is usually a warning sign rather than a bargain. This page sets out the tiers, shows how to work out the monthly figure and uses British IPTV's own prices as a worked example.

In short

  • A one-month plan commonly costs £10 to £15; a higher tier with extra features costs more.
  • Divide the total by the number of months to compare plans fairly.
  • Check that the price is shown in pounds and that the total is clear before you pay.
  • A price of £1 to £3 a month, or a payment for a service said to last for ever, deserves caution.
  • British IPTV: Standard £12.99 to £49.99, Premium £17.99 to £64.99, one-off payment.

The tiers

Sellers usually offer two or three tiers. The lowest typically gives Full HD on one device. A middle tier adds a second simultaneous screen or 4K. The top tier adds extras such as more connections or an app of the seller's own. The labels vary, so read what is included rather than trusting the name. Standard or Premium shows how British IPTV's two plans differ.

Worked example: British IPTV prices

DurationStandardPer monthPremiumPer month
1 month£12.99£12.99£17.99£17.99
3 months£24.99£8.33£34.99£11.66
6 months£34.99£5.83£49.99£8.33
12 months£49.99£4.17£64.99£5.42

The per-month figures are the total divided by the months, rounded to the nearest penny. They are arithmetic, not a promise of a saving: you pay the full amount once, and a longer plan ties up more money for longer. The prices are in pounds and are a one-off payment, so nothing renews. They are also on the plans page.

How to compare fairly

  1. Convert every plan to a monthly figure.
  2. Compare like for like: the same resolution, the same number of simultaneous screens, the same app.
  3. Check the total. A price that adds extra charges at the end is higher than it looks.
  4. Check the refund terms. A lower-priced plan with no refund path costs more if it does not work for you.
  5. Look at what happens at the end. A plan that renews by itself can cost far more than the headline.

What each extra pound should buy

When one tier costs more than another, the difference should be something you can name: a second simultaneous screen, a higher picture quality, a longer catch-up window, or a player app that comes with the plan. If the seller cannot say what the extra money buys, the tier is a label. With British IPTV, Premium costs £5 more than Standard for one month and £15 more for twelve; the plan page sets out the features behind that difference.

A cost-per-evening check

Suppose you watch on about 20 evenings a month. One month of Standard at £12.99 works out at about 65p an evening. Twelve months of Standard at £49.99 over about 240 evenings works out at about 21p an evening, provided you really do use it all year. The same sums for Premium give about 90p and 27p. These are illustrations of the arithmetic using an assumed amount of viewing, not forecasts of what you will use.

When a longer plan does not pay

A twelve-month plan is a good fit if you use the service most months. It is a poor fit if you tend to watch heavily in the winter and hardly at all in the summer, if you may move house or change broadband provider, or if you have not yet checked that your device and app work well together. In those cases a series of shorter plans, ordered when you need them, can cost less overall, and because nothing renews, you only pay when you place an order. The sums above show the monthly price of each duration so you can run the comparison for your own year.

Red flags in pricing

A very low price, perhaps £1 to £3 a month, usually means one of three things: shared accounts, a short-lived service, or a seller that will disappear. A one-off payment for a service said to last for ever promises something no seller can promise, because the servers behind a service are paid for month by month. A strike-through price next to a "sale" price that never changes is a pricing tactic, not a discount. Free playlists found online are another matter: they are typically unauthorised and unreliable.

What the monthly figure hides

A longer plan is only a saving if you use it for the whole period. If you are not sure that your device, app and broadband work well together, start with one month. If you use the service all year, the longer durations cost less per month. The prices for brits abroad article covers currency conversion, which can add a little to a card payment from outside the UK.

Extra costs to keep in mind

The subscription is not the whole cost. You need a TV Licence to watch live television in the UK, a broadband line and a compatible device. Some apps have their own fee; for example, certain players charge for a licence or a premium feature. The which app article compares options.
